Conditions of Entry
All patrons using the facility must adhere to the conditions of entry. This can be found on the wall near the front entrance.
Maylands Waterland is open from 10am-5pm in November, December, February (week days only), March & April, and 9am-5pm in
January and February (weekends only). Entry before these times are not permitted.
Fees and Charges
Our fees & charges are set by the City of Bayswater. A non-refundable deposit of $60 is to be made at the time of your booking, unless invoiced. All entry fees are to be paid on the day of your booking, or upon receiving your invoice. Additional hire fees may be applicable for excess cleaning, breakage or damage to Council equipment or property.
Notice of Cancellation
A non-refundable $60.00 deposit is required to secure your booking. If cancellation is required a medical certificate must be
presented to receive a refund of monies paid (excluding the $60 non-refundable deposit).
Maylands Waterland offers catering options for group and birthday party bookings. Please be aware only food is supplied. All napkins, plates and other utensils must be brought to the facility by the hirer. Outside catering is not permitted at Maylands Waterland. This includes but is not limited to Subway, McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc. Free BBQ facilities are available. No alcohol or glass are permitted in the Centre.
A maximum of 7 children are allowed on the Bouncy Castle at any one time. No sharp objects or jewellery are to be worn. Parents are responsible for supervising their children whilst using the Bouncy Castle.
At the end of the booking, hirers must remove all rubbish and leave their area in a clean and tidy state. The hirer is responsible for ensuring their guests are conducting themselves in an orderly manner. Tents and Marquees are not permitted in or around the grounds at Maylands Waterland.
General – No running, jumping, diving or bombies. No food allowed in pools. Swimmers must stay out of other reserved areas.
All persons whom are not toilet trained must wear disposable aqua nappies at all times while in the pool.
Patrons are required to wear appropriate clothing and swim wear. This is at the discretion of the Centre Manager.
The Centre Manager or Duty Manager reserves the right to refuse entry into Maylands Waterland to patrons who are suffering from skin infections or other communicable disease.
Supervision & Ratios
Group Bookings are required to have at least one adult to supervise up to a maximum of 10 children at all times. Lifeguards on duty will be at a ratio of 1 lifeguard for up to 100 swimmers as per the Royal Life Saving Society Standards Australia “Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation”. Children under the age of 6 must be within arm’s reach of an adult, and children under the age of 13 must also be constantly supervised by an adult at all times whilst at Maylands Waterland.
Request to Leave the Centre
The Centre Manager or Duty Manager has the right to ask patrons to leave Maylands Waterland at any time seen fit.
Smoking and Alcohol
Maylands Waterland is strictly a non-smoking and alcohol free facility.
